I need this blanket. Anyone have many, many hours of nothing to do, lots of patience and the ability to knit well? Cause if you can, I want this:
It's a Tree of Gondor throw! I love the leaves around the blanket! And the runes! And the tree! I want everything on it. I even love the color. White would be cool too, but I bet it would be very hard to see. Anyway, this blanket was made by ravelry user lilaclinny as a wedding present for her brother and sister-in-law. How lucky are they?! What an awesome present. The runes say "True Love"--I would probably want to change mine to "Kick Ass" or something along those lines--but I get the sentiment behind it.
If anyone is adventurous enough to try this, there isn't really a pattern, just this tree chart made by dragoncrafter. The runes look like knit/purl variations and I'm sure there's a nice leafy stitch in some stitch books for the edges. Unfortunately there aren't any really good closeup pictures of the rest of the squares, but maybe if I ever feel like taking on such a huge project I will give this a try.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! Stay tuned!

I can has purse?
Anyone want a fun project to do this weekend? (I know it's the beginning of the week, but stay with me). How about making your own lolcat purse? Haven't you ever wanted the hilarity of the lolcats on the portability of a purse? All you have to do is follow this tutorial from The Swell Life.
What lolcat would you use? I think I might use happy cat.
Or any image macro, really.
Was this just a feeble excuse to post some cat macros? Perhaps. Stay tuned for more relevant posts coming soon.

Hellbunnies
I was browsing around on flickr when I cam across these two adorable little creations:
Alright, I thought our little Hellboy was cute, but how can you beat a Hellbunny? No way man! Game over. I concede defeat to the bunny. Little prince Nuadabunny is really adorable too, and that's pretty hard because he creeped me out in the movie. Alright, Hellboy creeped me out a little bit too. Just a little bit though, pretty much just his tail. It's creepy.
Anyway, I just had to show everyone this. Too cute. Stay tuned for more!
EDIT: Oh my freaking god. You have to check out the rest of the flickr set for the girl that made these little bunnies. I can't believe that this exists.
Yeah. It's freaking Pyramid Head. As a bunny. So adorable. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything this cool. Or how about this?
A chupacabra bunny. Although, if Mulder is correct, Chupacabra have four fangs, not two, and they suck goats, hence the name. But it's okay. Mulder may have been off his rocker and/or trying to annoy Scully, and the bunny is cute, so I'll forgive it. Check out the etsy page if you like these little guys!
Okay, now I'm going, I swear.

Sugar Rush
For some reason I want cupcakes. However, these pictures will have to suffice for now.
That's a lot of cupcakes. From the Domestic Scientist. Tutorials are promised for tomorrow! Although it does just look like fondant to me.
All awesome cupcakes, all from Flickr user Naomi. She has some really cool looking ones up on her flickr. And while these are all very nice looking, I get the feeling that they probably don't taste very good. Of course, I've never had fondant, so who knows.
Anyway, just a random post. We're working on a new custom order, and the plans are to get him done within the week. I think it will be the first serial murderer/cannibal amigurumi we've made! Anyway, stay tuned for more coming soon!

Like the fist of an angry Hellboy
Alright guys, here's our latest dude!
It's Hellboy! And I think he turned out so cute. And he was always so worried that people thought he was a monster. How could something this cute be a monster!
You can see his huge arm here. It's just a little cone of sculpey that my boyfriend carved symbols into, and it just fits right over his regular arm. He also has a little belt buckle, communicator/locator thingy, a horseshoe and rosary. And of course his tail.
Here he is, smoking his cigar. You know, those aren't very good for you. This picture also shows a little detail on his coat.
Anyway, more pics up at the flickr site. And don't worry, Hellboy has a couple of kitties sitting around for him that I needlefelted. Some kitties may have been attacked by real kitties, but they are mostly intact. I'm sure I'll get pictures of Hellboy with his kitties eventually, so keep an eye out. Anyway, stay tuned! More dudes coming soon.

Viva la Revolucion
Alrighty everyone, my boyfriend has painted a new penguin picture! It's in the same line as this little guy I posted about a while back.
His name is Daniel Feranda and he is an Adelie penguin revolutionary who protested the harsh regime of Arthur IV. He demanded that the royals stop hoarding pebbles while the commoners could barely scrape together enough pebbles to make a nest for their families. Feranda led a revolt against Arthur, but Arthur had a huge army of large and well trained Chinstrap penguins who easily defeated the small band of rebels. Even though Feranda was defeated, his legacy still lives on and his likeness can be seen scrawled into the faces of many of the rocks around his hometown.
Anyway, I hope you guys like him! I think he's adorable. Stay tuned, new things coming soon!

Finally!
Hello everyone! Just a quick note to tell you that I finally finished the pattern I have been working on! Behold:
Awww, isn't Luke cute? This is the first time we've actually finished him, and he turned out really great. Anyway, the pattern can be purchased on my store website or over at etsy. I hope you guys enjoy it!

From Russia with Love
Whenever someone mentions Russia, I think of three things: Dostoevsky, cabbage, and nesting dolls. In that order. Anyway, this post is about the latter--take a look at these adorable Russian nesting dolls posted on Craftster!
They were hand painted on blank doll forms and given as a Christmas present. Lucky! They are so cute. Here's a closeup of my favorite.
He he! This little R2 would be a perfect addition to my collection. Of course I guess he has to stay with the rest of the nesting dolls, otherwise that defeats the purpose.
There are detailed pictures of each dude over at the artist's website, as well as some information on how he painted these. If you were possessed with the ability to paint, which five would you make? You can order some dolls here, they have a pretty big selection. I'm thinking I might replace the stormtrooper with Chewie. Or maybe I'd replace Obi-Wan, his face is creeping me out a little. Ooh! Or Admiral Ackbar. He'd be super cute too. And maybe an ewok. Okay, I'm going to need like 30 of these. Luckily I can't paint.
Anyway, just wanted to share! Stay tuned!

Flight of the Conchords
Alrighty guys, here's another creation! I couldn't post these earlier because they were a custom order for a Christmas present for someone, so they had to be kept a secret until afterward, but now I can show everyone! I actually hadn't really seen anything by these guys until someone wanted them, but their little costumes are really cute.
Their guitars were actually kind of daunting, but they came out looking really nice. I like the shiny green and red electric guitar. But wait! These guys can transform....
...into robots! These little dudes have removable robot costumes and the little guitars fit around their necks. The robot costumes are actually just made out of cardboard and slip over their heads, and their arms are silver crochet and just slip over the amigurumi part.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy these little dudes! I think they're pretty cute, even if I really don't know who they are. I like robots, so they can't be that bad, right? Anyway, stay tuned! New patterns should be up this week!
